Obama's got it backwards

B. Hussein is lifting federal resrictions, giving power to the states on the wrong things.

The federal government is bound by the U.S. Constitution which enumerates it's powers and everything else falls through to the states or the people. However, the intention of the constitution is to protect infringement of our natural inalienable rights as individuals.

To allow the states to impose limitless oppressive restrictions and taxation is a negligent act, thereby rendering it a failure to perform it's intended purpose in this specificity. However, that being said, I am not vehemently opposed to this act of Obama's, as it would allow different experiments by each state whereby the other states could learn what is proper in this application and in others similar.

The right result should also foster the natural laws of the free market to work, thereby producing the best results. My fear is that this will not ultimately happen, and that the true intention of the government is not what is in the best interest of the individuals.

He says that he will not deny facts on global warming, er I guess it's now "climate change". But, that is precisely what he is doing. The scientific facts show that an increase in CO2 follows warming, not that an increase in CO2 causes warming. So, what's causing the warming? How about the sun in the natural pattern of global climate change that has taken place throught history.

The quote listed in the header of this blog is an abridgment of a quote of Ezra Taft Benson. Here it is in it's entirety:

In times as serious as these, we must not permit fear of criticism to keep us from doing our duty, even at the risk of our counsel being tabbed as political, as government becomes more and more entwined in our daily lives. In the crisis through which we are now passing, we have been fully warned. There are some of us who do not want to hear the message. It embarrasses us. The things which are threatening our lives, our welfare, our freedoms are the very things some of us have been condoning. Many do not want to be disturbed as they continue to enjoy their comfortable complacency. There can be no neutrality! We are, or we are not, on the side of the Lord! (Ezra Taft Benson, 1973)
