Adoption: Final Plea to Senators Mikulski and Cardin, Representative Hoyer

Here's today's submission via their respective web site "contact us" forms:

I am saddened and disappointed to learn that you have once again failed to fulfill your duty to your constituents; this time by simply neglecting to take just a few moments out of your day to sign a letter in Senator Mary Landrieu's office.
However, you are not alone in your negligence. I just checked with Sarada Peri in Senator Landrieu's office and discovered that neither Senator Barbara Mikulski nor my representative from Maryland's district 5, Steny Hoyer, have fulfilled this simple request either.
Fortunately, this is not a lost cause. Senator Landrieu has delayed sending the letter to Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung until after tomorrow, Friday.
This is your chance to play a positive part in bringing liberty to more of the human family. Through your compliance with our request, you will be adding to the happiness of your constituents, gaining new constituents, and improving the life of them all. This simple request id directly in line with what you have been commissioned, elected, and entrusted by your constituents to do.
Make no doubt about it, I will either publicly praise you or vilify you depending on your action or lack thereof.
We submit this final plea to you. Please contact Sarada Peri in Senator Landrieu's office today or tomorrow:
Sarada_Peri@landrieu.senate.gov, 202-224-5824
Thank You very much for your time, consideration, and action in this matter,Hyrum and Cheryl Shewellalong with a potential adopted boy or girl from Vietnamas well as all others of your constituents affected by or in the same situation

I don't have much confidence in them, but we shall see. I'm giving them every opportunity here.

The quote listed in the header of this blog is an abridgment of a quote of Ezra Taft Benson. Here it is in it's entirety:

In times as serious as these, we must not permit fear of criticism to keep us from doing our duty, even at the risk of our counsel being tabbed as political, as government becomes more and more entwined in our daily lives. In the crisis through which we are now passing, we have been fully warned. There are some of us who do not want to hear the message. It embarrasses us. The things which are threatening our lives, our welfare, our freedoms are the very things some of us have been condoning. Many do not want to be disturbed as they continue to enjoy their comfortable complacency. There can be no neutrality! We are, or we are not, on the side of the Lord! (Ezra Taft Benson, 1973)
