Minutes from Tax Day rally in DC
Attended Tea Party in DC today with my friend Ron G. We went to the event at Freedom Plaza that started at 11 AM and went until about 2:30.
Had some great discussions with a lot of good people.
Met a woman from Cuba that couldn't believe that in the U.S. she needed to stand up for her freedoms. She escaped this sort of thing.
Ron talked lengthy with a man from Slovakia. He said that they have 70% tax there and they need to stand up in that country.
I passed out around 300-400 GOOOH business cards and a few trifolds.
I was interviewd by reuters. I haven't been able to find the video at http://www.reuters.com
Had a long talk with a good liberal; John. Claimed to be a fiscal conservative and a social libertarian. He was very knowledgeable about politics over the past few decades. He grew up in DC; born on Pennsylvania Avenue. He kept getting into the weeds about issues and I kept trying to stay on the fundamental principles. He asked me to watch Rachel Maddeau on MSNBC for a week.
Tonight I tried to watch her; it was painful. They were portraying the Tea Partiers in a bad light. Stating that people actually paid less taxes this year. A guy she had on was stating that the numbers the right was using for people that didn't pay taxes is incorrect; that more people pay income tax and that they get refunds. I was having a hard time following. Plus, I noticed that they were just comparing last year with this year. That is presuming that last years rate were ok with us. No, this is not true. Our tax policies have been screwed up for years. We need a fair or flat tax. See http://www.fairtaxnation.com/
I think the left just doesn't get it. We are upset with the way things have been going for a long time; not just since Obama has taken office. We just recently have woken up and started paying attention.
I met a Dad and his daughter and son from New Jersey. It was their first time to DC.
I met a young man from Ohio who drove 8 hours by himself, with a sign signed by 198 others.
I met a couple from Boston who had attended the Tea Party last night where Sarah Palin spoke and then drove all night, taking turns driving and sleeping, and arrived around 12:00 PM to join the rally in process at Freedom Plaza in DC.
There were so many good people; the cream of the crop of our society.
We parked way over on the other side of the tidal basin around the Jefferson Memorial.
A boy, looked Indian, asked Ron why he was carrying that flag and Ron took time to explain while his father looked on.
We got some thumbs up and some honks from some guys operating a crane or back-hoe and many cars passing by and joggers. We also got some weird looks. A female cyclist simply said "A**holes" as she rode past us going the opposite direction. I was dumbfounded. Ron shouted back a few things like "oh thats really nice". I mean, why would a fellow citizen say that to two men that took the day off from work to voice our opinions and concerns as part of what we feel is our duty. How immature, rude, and callus.
On the way back, walking from Freedom Plaza to the Washington Monument, Ron wanted a photo in front of a statue, and a security officer told us that we were not allowed to. I started arguing with him and luckily Ron was there to back me off. As soon as we started moving on he got after another guy walking down the sidewalk with a sign. He told him to turn the sign down. What the heck is happening? Do we have free speech?
We made our way to the next block and across the street to the Washington Monument where people were gathering for the evening rally.

Birther Army LTC refuses orders; Oreilly discusses
Tonight Bill Oreilly talked about see http://www.safeguardourconstitution.com/ LTC Terry Lakin refusal to obey deployment orders until he sees Obama's birth certificate.
Bill and Megan Kelly mocked those who still want proof. Bill showed an image of Honolulu newspaper announcement of his birth.
I find fault with their analysis because they did not talk about the "natural born citizen" status. Even if he was born in Hawaii, he gave up his citizenship when he obtained Indonesian citizenship to attend Muslim school there. He would have had to apply for citizenship when he returned to the US several years later. Where is that proof? Obama is an illegal alien.
I would like proof before we dismiss this issue.
Furthermore, how can we trust the image of the newspaper article. Besides, it was merely an announcement. You could place an announcement in a newspaper even if the birth took place elsewhere.
Lets see conclusive evidence and uphold our constitution.

545 PEOPLE--By Charlie Reese
A Friend shared this with me on Facebook
March 26 at 9:18pm
EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE
Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.
545 PEOPLE--By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them..
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits..... The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power..
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have read it......... Is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so darned true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Then tax him some more,

He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

Venting at Steny Hoyer - submitted email message
This is what I just sent to Steny Hoyer via email:
"You are a dishonest corrupt politician who has now made it more clear than ever that you are our sworn enemy. We the people lost this battle, but we are on our way of taking back our country.
We are now more resolute than ever and rallying the masses to unite to defeat you!
You will not win this war!
I hope you enjoy your retirement and please don't do too much more damage to America during your last few months in office. You never would have remained in office for so long had we the people not been asleep at the wheel. Never again will we allow self seekers of power like yourself, Marxists, and naive busy body do gooders conspire against us as you have gotten away with for so long.
How do you sleep at night?
Seriously! What did you think we would think of your back room deals, secret meetings, arm twisting, complete disregard to our constitution and economic sensibility? You straight up ignored the voice and will of the people!
To push this evil health care bill through on the Sabbath was as if to hit us and God himself with a final slap in the face! You made me sick to my stomach. I am utterly disgusted!
Furthermore, that wasn't enough for you sick people! To add insult to injury, you pranced around outside like a troop of evil clowns with big conniving grins on your faces; you and Nancy Pelosi with that big oversized cartoon looking gavel! I am so furious with you and the entire congress!
What has become of my beloved America?
May God have mercy on your soul!"
