White House childish games - making enemies, pointing fingers, attacking free speech - what is up?

Nicole Wallace makes some good points in this article and echoes some of my thoughts. If you've been scratching your head wondering why the White House is attacking free speech; pointing fingers singling out one television news network, when they have a war they've been neglecting, and several massive unconstitutional agenda's that they are trying to ram home ASAP, take a look at what Nicole thinks: (I know she's a RINO, but they do make good points from time to time; they're practical and strategic; just not principally driven like conservatives)

Universal Imprisonment Plan - Amish, Catholics, Mormons, & Veterans

A doctor that serves an Amish community called into the Mark Levin Show on yesterday's program (2009/09/28) with guest host Mark Simone. He said that they pay cash; they don't believe in carrying insurance.

Can you imagine imprisoning all these honest, God fearing, hard working people.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amish in 2008 there was a population of 227,000 Amish in the United States.

The doctor also said that all Catholic people, if they are true to their faith, would need to reject participation in a plan that supported abortion.

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I believe I would also have to reject participation. I can't willingly support in any way the murder of innocent human life, nor participate in an unconstitutional plan that robs people of their property and free agency. Furthermore, I would be breaking my oath that I took when I enlisted in the U.S. Navy, to support and defend the constitution of the United States of America.

Perhaps this is what the liberal Democrats and Socialists want; to lock up all the Amish, Catholics, and Mormons; and Veterans.

I know one thing: at least I'll be in good company.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholicism_in_the_United_States in 2008 there were 70 million catholics in the United States. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_United_States in 2008 there were 3.16 million mormons in the United States.

So, with all the good honest people in jail, where will all the money come to build more prisons, staff them, and feed all the new inmates?

According to http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/prisons.htm in 2008 there were 2,310,984 prisoners held in federal or state prisons or in local jails.

As of 2007, there are about 138 million taxpayers in the United States. (According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_the_United_States)

So, currently we have roughly 138 million tax payers supporting 2.3 million prisoners. With passage of universal health care we would have roughly 64.8 million tax payers supporting 75.5 million prisoners. That's a shift of 146.4 million people. That's roughly half of the U.S. population of 304 million. (see http://www.google.com/publicdata?ds=uspopulation&met=population&tdim=true&q=united+states+population.

This must be the fundamental transformation of our country that Obama promised. Now that's change we can believe in.

Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood's Racist Founder

Learn about the eugenicist Margaret Sanger for whom your tax dollars are being spent to honor with a Smithsonian tribute to her. Her work has brought about the murder of millions; our federal government has used property they've stolen from you to fund countless abortions. Now, lets talk about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This hurts. so evil.

Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood's Racist Founder
The Smithsonian is honoring one of the 20th century's most notorious eugenics proponents, Margaret Sanger. American Life League exposes Sanger's racist plan to create a "master race."
Length:7:04

This is what I sent to "npgnews@si.edu":

To Whom It May Concern,

I have learned about your exhibit that features the eugenicist Margaret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood. I am insulted and offended that you have used tax payer funds to pay tribute to an evil anti-American whose work has resulted in the murder of millions of our unborn.

If you have already resolved this problem then I thank you. Otherwise, please defend your action.

As it turns out, the video is from 9 months ago, so the exhibit is probably long gone. Oh well, I can expect a nasty email back from the Smithsonian I'm sure; or they'll just ignore me; which is more likely.

For more information about The American Life League who produced the video, here is their website: http://www.all.org/
and here is their site for video reports: http://allreport.blip.tv/

The "Extremist" Founding Father

Thomas Paine is one of my heroes; the Smithsonian currently has an exhibit featuring him; they subtitle the exhibit "The Radical Founding Father". However, I believe the word "Extremist" would be more appropriate as that is a term used nowadays to describe the far right, whereas "radical" is used to describe the far left. I'm gonna have to go check out the exhibit one Saturday morning.

This exhibition is devoted to Thomas Paine (1737-1809) whose pamphlet Common Sense fired up Americans to get on with a declaration of independence.

"Read the Bill" bill

Doesn't it make sense that those whom we've elected to represent us would at least take the time to thoroughly read each bill before voting in support of it. To you and I, the common people, yes, it makes sense. However, to the elite in power it seems that they are above such petty duties. C'mon do we the people actually expect them to read the bill? YES!! That is the LEAST they can do. We need to hold them accountable. After all, they did sign an oath. SImply don't reelect them. It just blows my mind how many people re-elect these bafoons. My opinion is that no one should ever be re-elected, period.

Anyway, there is a common sense bill in the house that simply would require that there be at least a 72 hour period from the time a bill is introduced until it is presented for a vote. I encourage you to learn more about it by visiting http://www.readthebill.org/ and then follow up by contacting your representative, by phone, or email, as I did.

I sent an email to my congressman Representative Steny Hoyer via his website at http://hoyer.house.gov/contact/email.asp

I am writing to ask Representative Hoyer to support H. Res. 554, the 72 Hour Rule. This legislation will ensure that members of Congress and the public have 72 hours to read bills online before Congress begins debating them.

Will Rep. Hoyer support H. Res. 554?

I checked the box indicating that I would like a response.

I'll let you know what he responds back.

Vote NO on Sotomayor!

This is what I sent to my senators today:

Vote NO on Sotomayor!
Vote NO on Sotomayor! Vote NO on Health Care! Vote NO on Energy! Read the bill before you vote. If you need more time, ask for it. Don't rush. Sign the petition to promise to read all legislation in its entirety prior to supporting it.

As well, I called and asked them to oppose Harry Reids sneaky Hate Crimes Bill that he slipped into the Department of Defense Support Bill. There was supposed to be a late night vote; around midnight tonight.

Hate Crimes Prevention Act - sneaky Harry

Today I learned about the Hate Crimes Prevention act through the Liberty Counsel.

I submitted the following (that I borrowed from Liberty Counsel) to my senators Barbara Mikulski and Benjamin Cardin:

I am very disturbed that the Senate is moving to fast-track the "Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act" (S. 909) by attaching it as an amendment to another bill. I oppose fast-tracking this bill. This bill has serious ramifications for our society and deserves the full deliberative process in committee and on the Senate floor.

In addition, I oppose this bill and urge you to oppose it as well. Bills like this that grant special protections based on "sexual orientation and gender identity" pose a direct threat to the rights of people of faith and could ultimately lead to the criminalization of Christian teachings on marriage.

I urge you to oppose the Hate Crimes Prevention Act. I will be monitoring this situation closely.

Liberty counsel also suggested alternative text as an example for use in contacting your senators:

As a concerned citizen, I am signing this petition opposing the efforts to pass legislation that creates special rights based on sexual orientation and as a result criminalizes beliefs that oppose the homosexual rights agenda. This includes so-called “non-discrimination,” “hate crimes” and “hate speech” legislation.

Such legislation and policies put the sincerely-held beliefs of people of faith at odds with our laws. Even the Bible can be classified as prohibited literature under such measures. I am standing with citizens across the Nation in opposing efforts by Congress or the President to implement these anti-faith measures. I also am joining others in my state in opposing similar state-level laws and policies.

I also signed a petition at:

I encourage you to do the same: contact your senators and sign the petition; then notify others to follow suite.

Reject Sotomayors Nomination

congress.org makes it easy to send an email to both your senators at once: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/issues/alert/?alertid=13730881&type=CO

This is what I sent: "Sotomayor is unfit for duty. There has got to be better. Reject her nomination and lets take a look at some other nominations. There is no rush; let's get this right."

Now, follow the link above and let your senators know that you also reject the nomination of Sotomayor. Oh, and if you support her nomination, you can alternatively send an email of support to your senators; but, I'm not going to provide you with the link; you should be able to figure it out.

After you submit your input, you will be presented with a page that includes a notification that your senators have been notified; like this, that I got:

our message was sent to:

Report on calls to Congress

Yesterday, on my drive home from work, I called all three of my representatives in congress:

  1. Representative Steny Hoyer
  2. Senator Barbara Mikulski
  3. Senator Benjamin Cardin
I have them all in my address book on my mobile phone, so it's pretty easy to do driving into work or back home.

I always ask to speak directly with the Senator or Congressman.

Steny Hoyer had just stepped out of the office. Barbara Mikulsi was in a meeting. Benjamin Cardin was busy voting on the floor.

So, my only recourse was to leave a message with the aide on the phone. I have learned that it's best to stick to one issue per call. For this round of calls, I asked if the Senator had yet signed the pledge to promise to actually read all bills before voting on them from this time forward. In both cases the aide seemed clueless, so I told them to have the Senator see Senator Diment, as he was the first to sign. So there were know answers this round, but I promised to call back soon and follow up. Since I wasn't sure if the pledge had been circulating in the House of Representatives yet, for Hoyer, I simply asked the aide if Steny had read the cap and trade bill in its entirety before voting on it and encouraging others to vote on it as well. Of course the aide didn't have an anser. I let them know that I was awayre that it was 1200 pages long with 300 pages of ammendments added to the bill at 3:09 AM the day of the vote. ALso, that Steny had been encouraging others to vote for the bill as well.

This morning, on my drive into work, I decided to try and get them before their offices opened; to leave a voice mail message about opposing government health care reform.

Both Mikulski's and Hoyer's in-boxes were full, but I was able to leave a message for Cardin.

On my drive home, I called Hoyer's office and got an aide on the line again; sounded like the same guy. I explained to him that I wanted to let the Congressman know that I was opposed to the current government health care legislation. This was actually one of the best call experiences I've had. The aide asked me my name and where I was calling from. He then asked me if I was opposed to health care reform in general or just the current legislation. I told him, "the current legislation". He then asked what kind of reform I would like. I told him that I would support encouraging companies to leave the aquisition of health care to individuals and to simply let employees keep more of their money. I explained that it is immoral for the government to be involved in health care.

evil Walmart - supports oppresive government health care reform

I saw a commrecial tonight while watchin Hannity, of Walmarts that supports and promotes national health care legislation. I was shocked!

What will I do now?

I live between two Walmarts that are almost equidistant from me; one is 10 miles south, the other 10 miles north. There is basically no where else to shop. We get everything there. However, I can't support any entity that is in on the government's secret combination to control people through ownership and management of their health care.

Boycott Walmart!

The referrenced LA Times article above, states the falacy given by Obama that 46 million Americans are without health care.

The article also states that Walmart "supports a mandate for all uninsured people to buy reasonably priced coverage". So, Walmart things it is right for our government, that has very limited powers as enumerated in our constitution, to force us, the people, to expend our property in a specific way. This seems obvious to me to be a blatant violation of our individual inalienable right to pursue happiness. How does the government or Walmart know what makes us happy. Furthermore, it is wrong for one man to force another to use their own property, their income, in the way that he desires; much less that a creation of his, government, would do likewise.

Honduran president ousted by military - constitution upheld

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jun/28/secretary-soldiers-arrest-honduran-president/

Perhaps our military should follow this example; except, they would have to oust most of our congress as well. I ask, "WHEN?"! When will our military live up to their oath of defending our constitution from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC? I say, it's about time! It's nice to see a society where the constitution is honored and defended. This article is a breath of fresh air and gives hope to freedom lovers the world over. Just watch, the leftist tyrannical statists will insist that this was bad and that Zelaya should be reinstated. We, and our elected leaders, should commend the military, congress, and people of Honduras; then, follow their lead!

Rep. Bachman stands for Liberty; against Tyranny, on the House floor

The new national energy tax just passed in the House will result in 2.5 million job losses every year and cost $2,000,000,000,000. Thank your congressman! This 1200 page bill was still being written when they voted on it. Don't we deserve to have our representatives read and comprehend what they are voting for? I'm not ranting, I'm just paying attention. (inspired by Minnesota Representative Michell Bachmann and posted as my status update on facebook today)

seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it. If I was elected to represent my fellow citizens, the least I would feel obligated to do, and the least that I would expect that they would want of me, is to make sure that I carefully read and comprehend anything that I vote on, in their behalf; and, to demand more time if insufficient time was given. In thiscase, 300 pages of amendments were introduced at 3:09 AM the day of the vote. Any person who voted for it is unethical, unfit for duty, has betrayed those whom they represent, and broken their oath to defend, uphold, and honor our constitution. If we the people don't hold them accountable, then who will?

Hear and watch Rep. Bachmann speak on the house floor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd-ERDBs4ek

Michelle Bachmann is consistently speaking out for common sense and the right in the battle being waged between good and evil in the House of Representatives. She speaks about liberty and tyranny; and making a choice for one or the other. The master tyrant is Satan himself who continues to wage his war against the forces for freedom, which of course is led by Christ himself. There's nothing new under the sun going on here. It's the classic battle between good and evil, yet again, and on going.

Stop Cap & Trade - Stop H.R. 2454, the Waxman-Markey legislation

I got this today from eric at redstate dot com, via email:

I need your immediate help.

Go here and call your Congressman right now.

Tell your Congressman to vote against H.R. 2454., the Waxman-Markey legislation.

We don't have a moment to delay.

Congress is going to vote on Cap and Trade legislation, which even Democrat John Dingell (D-MI) says is "a tax and it's a great big one."

Democrat Charlie Melancon (D-LA) says, "I believe this bill would create an undue burden on families who are already paying too much in energy bills."

Democrat Mike Ross (D-AR) says of Cap and Trade, "'If you don't like $4-a-gallon gasoline, you're really not going to like your electric bill sometime between now and 2030."

Go here, put in your zip-code, and call now.

A Witness and a Warning - 30 years later

In the wake of current events unfolding in Iran, threats from North Korea, and the rapid transformation we see unfolding within our country today, President Ezra Taft Benson's words from 30 years ago seem to be just as relevant today, if not more so, than when he uttered them.

All Christians and patriots throughout America should find his words insightful even if you are not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ezra Taft Benson (August 4, 1899 – May 30, 1994) was the thirteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1985 until his death and was United States Secretary of Agriculture for both of the administrations of U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower

The quote listed in the header of this blog is an abridgment of a quote of Ezra Taft Benson. Here it is in it's entirety:

In times as serious as these, we must not permit fear of criticism to keep us from doing our duty, even at the risk of our counsel being tabbed as political, as government becomes more and more entwined in our daily lives. In the crisis through which we are now passing, we have been fully warned. There are some of us who do not want to hear the message. It embarrasses us. The things which are threatening our lives, our welfare, our freedoms are the very things some of us have been condoning. Many do not want to be disturbed as they continue to enjoy their comfortable complacency. There can be no neutrality! We are, or we are not, on the side of the Lord! (Ezra Taft Benson, 1973)
